Demonstrations

22 very different demonstrations have been carried out. Thanks to the demonstrators, who brought their equipment from all over the world and set up their systems in order to show the performance to our participants! The schedule for the demonstrations can be found here.

We had dedicated four demonstration rooms (HCI E2, F2, E8, F8) for showing the performance of their Indoor Positioning or Indoor Navigation Systems.

Demonstration Competition

The winner of the demonstration competition was Dr. Rudolf Zetik (at Ilmenau University of Technology) with his "UWB passive localisation". UWB sensors connected to a small linear antenna array (1Tx 2Rx) have been used for the localisation of one moving person in an area of about 3m x 3m. The person could be localised passively just by electromagnetic waves reflected from its body. The demonstration explained basic steps that are necessary to obtain location estimate from row measured data. His the slide presentation was in Ultra Wide Band, Part 3.
