Geodetic Project Course 2011

June 14- July 1, 2011 in the lower Engadin, Graubünden.


Who should attend:

Master Students of Geomatics and Planning with a Major in Engineering Geodesy and Metrology.

The course is organized for ETH students, however, students from other universities are welcome to participate.

The course is limited to 25 participants.


Conditions:

The
content of the courses "Geodetic Metrology I and II", "Parameter
Estimation I und II" as well as "Higher Geodesy" are prerequisite.


Objective:

Practical
deepening of the knowledge of Geodetic Metrology and Engineering
Geodesy (GNSS, Laserscanning, Photogrammetry and Tachymetry) and their analysis.


When and where:

June 14 - July 1, 2011

Unterengadin (Graubünden, see section Location)

Content:

Single-handed treatment of current geodetic projects in groups of approx. 3 - 5 students;
digital surface model (by terrestrial and UAV-photogrammetry)
digital model of elected boulders (Laserscanning)
establishing a fixpoint field (TPS + GNSS)

Writing of a technical report with description of the project, calculations, results and interpretations. Possibility to continue the work in a semester or diploma thesis.
